• We thorouthly enjoyed our days touring and fishing with Rob from Bustin Trout. Rob spent quality time with us showing us and teaching us the ways of fishing in the B.C. area.

  > Valemount lead to a great day on the water for my first guided experience. He always had a rod ready for me to get in the water. Aside from doing my laundry it was like fishing with a butler. Affordable and very knowledgable, a must have for anyone wishing to fish successfully around Valemount. • Dear Bustin Trout
  Carolyn took me fishing for my 50th birthday. Our guided fishing experience with your guide Terry Penno will be one of my fondest memories 'til the day I die. It was as educational as it was productive.
  Even before we went fishing Terry showed us how to  find pine mushrooms and the proper way to remove them with minimal impact on  their future livelihood. They are the tastiest mushroom I think I've ever  eaten.
  Now to fishing.
  Just the ride up on this logging road was an  education and again Terry's extensive knowledge and willingness to share carved a permanent place in Carolyn's and my memory. We spent two full days with Terry on Shere Lake and caught our limit of these beautiful, large, colourful brook trout. We tired of fishing with bait, so we tried  trolling. Terry just kept rowing and rowing and rowing until we caught our  limit. Both Carolyn and myself were wondering if he would ever get tired.
  He prepared all our lines for us, made us beautiful  gourmet lunches and in between filled our heads with recipes involving fish and  pine mushrooms. On top of all this he would  masterfully fillet all our fish wasting nothing. We never found a bone in any of  his fillets.
  One of his recipes required a cedar plank and lo  and behold one of these very planks showed up at our door two days later. What a  guy. What a birthday. What a freezer full of fish.
